Q. Can I access Senate House Library?

Please see advice regarding Senate House Library during the coronavirus outbreak.

Senate House Library is one of the largest humanities (and social science) focused research libraries in the UK HE community and includes many collections of national and international importance.

Information on its subject collections is available online.

Membership is free for King’s students and staff, and will enable you to borrow books and access some electronic resources. You will need to pre-register online and then ensure you have your King’s ID card with you when you visit so that you can complete the application process.

Senate House Library databases can be accessed by members via the King’s Databases list or the Senate House Library database list.

Access to e-resources during the coronavirus outbreak

Senate House Library are offering a temporary application (link below) which will allow King's students to register remotely for e-resource access on a four monthly rolling membership.

All you will need for validation is your King's email address.
