Are there any limitations on what I can put on my reading list in 24/25?

Answer

Our ‘Building and developing reading lists with Leganto: A Step by Step Guide for Academic and Professional Services Staff’ document (PDF) is now available from our Building and Developing Your Reading Lists KEATS module. If you’ve never used Library & Collections’ King's Learning and Skills Service (KLaSS) KEATS pages, you just need to enrol from the homepage for access.

Our approach in 2024/25 will be online first to support the ongoing focus on digital education, but not online only. With this in mind, here are some additional points for you to consider before submitting your reading lists:

  • We will purchase print formats for core readings where they are not available in online formats.
  • We will purchase recommended readings in online formats and limited print formats.
  • We will try to digitise core and recommended readings from outside our collections, in accordance with copyright law, where they cannot be reasonably purchased in online or print formats.

Please ensure your reading lists are as concise as they possibly can be in terms of the number of resources appearing on it.
