Issues for Safari web browser users accessing reading lists

Date: Wednesday 08 April 2020

Safari users accessing the MyReadingList site directly https://kcl.rl.talis.com/index.html
should be able to log in and use the system without issue.

Problems arise when logging into Talis Aspire through a Virtual Learning Environment such as Keats while using Safari as web browser. These users may encounter an issue whereby they are unable to log in and access their reading lists or that they appear to have logged in but are asked to do so again. This is due to the constraints put in place by Safari.

Talis are investigating what can be done to improve matters.  Meanwhile it is recommended that affected users use another web browser - Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Edge.

Problems linking to individual ebooks on the ClinicalKey Student website

Date: Wednesday 08 April 202

Records for approximately 240 ClinicalKey ebooks are in the Library catalogue and Library Search. The links from these records to the website are not currently working properly and we are working to resolve the issue.

As an interim solution either

1 Go to https://www.clinicalkey.com/student, log in with your King's username + password and search for the book

2 Log into ClinicalKey as above before opening Library Search in a new tab and links to the ebooks will then work
