Franklin Wilkins Library - building wide issue

We are aware of some issues this evening at the Franklin Wilkins Building.
The building is still open but we have been informed that it may have to be closed later.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to recommend you use some of our other sites for your evening working until the issue is resolved.

Wills Library - Noise disruption

We are aware of some noise issues, particularly drilling, in the evenings at the Wills Library.
This noise disruption is part of a project to fix some of the doors in that building.

Ovid Journals - Scheduled Maintenance

On 19th April, starting at 2:30 AM, access to Ovid journals may be disrupted by scheduled maintenance. This work should last 45 minutes, and Ovid journals may be unavailable during this time.

Pediatrics - login solution for users off campus

Please use the link from Library Search to access the journal 'Pediatrics' while off campus. Selecting this link will prompt you to sign in via the King's proxy server. We are aware, however, that users are occasionally required to log in twice for access to be authenticated, i.e. select the link on library search, log in via the King's proxy server, select ‘back’ in your browser, and then again select the link on Library Search - access should be available off campus after following these steps.
We are in touch with the publisher and we hope to have this issue resolved soon.
Update: Access to this resource works as expected when using Microsoft Edge.

Croner-i - login issue

Springer Link - login issue

We have been made aware that the 'Log in' option in the top right-hand corner of the Springer Link site is requesting that users register a new account or 'continue with Google or ORCiD' - this log in method cannot be supported. At present, we suggest that users first navigate to an article on the Springer Link platform (or navigate directly to an article on Springer Link by searching for the article on King's Library Search) and use the 'Log in via an institution' option displayed midway down the Springer Link page under the 'Access this article' heading - this method allows users to search for 'King's College London' as a subscribing institution and use their King's credentials to authenticate access.
Note that King's does not subscribe to all Springer Link journals. To check for availability, please search for an article or journal on Library Search.

i-law - login issue

There have been some issues reported with i-Law users being unable to reset their passwords and access content. The supplier is working on fixing these issues as quickly as possible.
To try and resolve this in the meantime, please clear your internet browser cookies, cache and temporary files, and then try to log in again. Please also ensure the clock time on your computer is in sync as out of synced timing may cause access to be blocked.

Practical Law and Westlaw UK - user registration issue

We are aware of some previously reported issues regarding access to Practical Law and Westlaw UK resources, which should now be resolved and users should now be able to access both platforms as normal.
However, users that have not accessed either platform for an extended period of time may see an error message when logging in again for the first time. This message shows as 'Your profile contains no valid registration keys' and in this case, please contact library@kcl.ac.uk and we can investigate this further.

Problems logging in to Taylor & Francis Online

Note that users are occasionally required to log-in twice to the T&F platform in order to view material that King's is subscribed to.

Once you are on Taylor & Francis Online (tandfonline.com) click on ‘Log in’ at the top of the page.

Under ‘Log in via your institution’, click on ‘Shibboleth’.

Start typing ‘King’s College London’ in the institution box or select ‘UK Higher Education’ in the ‘Federation and Institution’ box.

This will take you to the King’s Shibboleth login screen. Enter your King’s username and password. NB. At this stage, you may be prompted to complete an additional Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) step on your mobile device using an appropriate MFA authenticator.

You will be taken back to the page you were previously on in Taylor & Francis. You can see you are logged in from the words ‘Access provided by King's College London’ at the top of the screen.
