What is LibKey Nomad? 
LibKey Nomad is a browser extension which links you to full text articles provided by King’s Libraries & Collections or when there is an open access copy available, on scholarly websites or databases. The Nomad browser extension is automatically available on all King’s student computers 

What are the benefits of the LibKey Nomad browser extension? 
It will save you time finding and accessing articles as it will display a Download PDF link for all those articles where full text is available on any scholarly website or database you happen to be browsing, for example Google Scholar or Pubmed 

Can I install the LibKey Nomad extension on my own device? 
Yes, you can download it for your browser here - https://thirdiron.com/downloadnomad/. Select King’s College London as your institution when installing it 

Will I have to sign in to access the article when I click on LibKey Nomad? 
If you are signed in on a King’s device, LibKey Nomad is configured so that it will take you straight to the article without having to sign in again to access it. If you are using your own device you will be taken to your KCL log in to sign in before you can view the article 

I’m from the NHS, can I use LibKey Nomad?
Yes, if you are using a King’s computer on campus, you may use LibKey Nomad to access most King’s material

To access NHS material via LibKey Nomad you will need to change the institution selected in the extension.  Information on accessing NHS OpenAthens resources can be found here. Please see more information about the NHS Nomad here 

Which browsers is LibKey Nomad available for? 
LibKey Nomad is available on all major browsers including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, and Vivaldi 

Which publisher sites does it work with? 
LibKey Nomad works on over 1000 publisher sites. It also checks the citations on Wikipedia pages for you 

Can I choose a different institution? 

Yes, if you are affiliated with another university or NHS Trust you can choose it by clicking on the extension logo and selecting that institution.  On King’s computers it will automatically set back to King’s College London overnight 

Please note that selecting another institution won’t give you access to their resources, you will still need to authenticate via their institutional login.
